The Opportunity

BabyCenter is looking for a skilled writer and editor who’s passionate about creating content for the pregnancy and parenting audience. As part of our team, you’ll play a key role in reaching millions of new and expecting parents and developing trusted, up-to-date content for our site, apps, and e-mail.

This full-time position may be based in our San Francisco office or remote.

Key Responsibilities

  •        New and updated content: Plan, edit, and track updates to broad areas of content, working with experts on our Medical Advisory Board to ensure accuracy
  •        Search Engine Optimization (SEO): Repackage and refresh existing articles to perform well in search, using tools such as SEMRush
  •        Managing freelancers: Recruit new talent and manage freelancers who write health and lifestyle articles for the site
  •        Program management: Manage project budgets, contracts, and invoicing

Job Qualifications

  •        3–5 years editorial experience. Experience with pregnancy, parenting, or health content is a plus, but not required.
  •        Adept at using SEO-optimization tools and strategies for YMYL websites
  •        Able to produce engaging, accurate copy
  •        Comfortable authoring in content management systems
  •        Excellent written and verbal communication
  •        Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  •        Comfortable in a fast-paced, data-driven work environment
