What we’re looking for:
Ciena IT is looking for an industry leading talent to help write the next chapter of our digital transformation post COVID-19. In particular, re-imagining the next level of Ciena employee engagement and business productivity with safety as a priority across 30+ global offices and the new addition of 6500+ remote home offices worldwide. As a free-thinking Enterprise Architect, you will act as the leader of IT working collaboratively across Ciena to shape and deliver the most innovative digital workspace experience possible to help Ciena win. You will be modeling business initiatives, documenting the blueprint covering 5 Transition States: defining the impact on people, process, information, tools/ technology, and describing the high-level business requirements and changes required to deliver the business initiatives. Furthermore, identifying and resolving interdependencies and capability overlaps between related projects and programs of work impacting core business areas.
The architect will be working with IT leaders to transition IT towards a business value focused organization.

Requirements:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree (Computer Science, Computer Information Sciences, Business Administration).
Advanced degree in Business Administration, Business Analytics, Industrial Processes, Computer Science or related fields is a plus.
A minimum of 15 years of progressively responsible experience in a directly related area, during which both professional and management capabilities have been clearly demonstrated.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
Ability to travel to key Ciena Sites
Ability to independently work with deadlines and schedules.
Ability to working remotely without day to day supervision.
CONCENTRATION
This role requires one to step back and think through solutions (both technology and process) and present findings back and influence decision makers in both IT and IT’s clients (the business).
