Ashley Addiction Treatment has an opening for Behavioral Health Technician
– PRN (As Needed Coverage) .

This professional is responsible for assisting the clinical and medical staff on our main campus located in Havre de Grace.

The BHT will act as an assistant to the clinical staff managing the patient community, ensuring patients participation in the program, adherence to rules and regulations governing participation in the program, and facilitating cohesion and cooperation among the patients.

Assist in the facilitation of patient programming, including clinical, life-skills, and recovery groups and workshops.

Provide recovery support services, both individually and in group settings.

The BHT will occasionally provide transportation for patients, acting as an ambassador for Ashley.

Peer Recovery certification and/or professional Addictions Treatment experience is required for this role Must be able to work both independently and with a team of professionals.

This position requires strict adherence to policy and regulations.

Must have a clear driving record (0 points) as required by Ashley Driving Policy and Procedures.

– As Needed availability must be 1st, 2nd or 3rd shifts Job Requirements: Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform essential job functions: Sit for long periods of time during groups and lectures and at a computer; speak and hear clearly when using the phone; type computerized notes; remain calm and rational during crises; requires mobility (walking and climbing steps) of a frequent nature due to the logistical nature of escorting and/or locating patients.

Must be able to lift and carry luggage weighing up to 60 lbs.

Excellent driver; drive in all weather and traffic conditions; assist passengers in and out of vehicles; carry and lift loads of up to 60 lbs when purchasing/delivering items; periods of waiting with patients while they are engaged in off-campus activities.
