Human Resources Benefits Coordinator

This is a Contract position in Suffolk County, NY posted September 18, 2020.

Marcum LLP is seeking a Benefits Coordinator in our Human Resources Department.

This individual will be responsible for supporting the Benefits Department in the daily functions of benefits administration and compliance.

The Benefits Coordinator also provides excellent client service, investigates new benefits offerings, improves existing programs and provides analytical support in the delivery of benefits programs.

The Benefits Coordinator will report to the Benefits & Wellness Supervisor.

The ideal candidate is a well-organized, detail-oriented professional who can handle high volumes of transactions, tight deadlines, and highly confidential and sensitive information.

Job Description: Management of enrollments and determination of employee eligibility Coordination with Payroll for appropriate benefit deductions Processing of terminations and qualifying life events Monthly billing reconciliation Assist with Firm Compliance Respond to employment verification’s Handle benefit inquiries Develop communication tools Perform post-enrollment audits Support Human Resources Department with various tasks Qualifications: 3 years in a Human Resources Department supporting the benefits function.

BA/BS in HR Management, Psychology or Sociology.

PHR/SHRM-CP preferred, but not required.

Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Excellent experience working with Microsoft Office Programs: Word, Excel, and Outlook.
