Recruiter Senior (Remote)


This is a Full-time position in Remote - US posted May 29, 2020.

Location: Remote – US

Purpose of Job

We are looking for a strong Senior Recruiter to support our Bank for one of the following locations: San Antonio Home Office I, Phoenix campus, Tampa campus, Colorado Springs Campus or Remote.

Works collaboratively with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain ongoing relationships and partnerships with hiring leaders, candidate pools, peer partners, and third party vendors to deliver candidates for USAA’s hiring needs. Consults with management to lead cross-functional teams when implementing sourcing strategies to proactively identify candidates and assemble diverse pipeline of talent for open positions. Responds to inquiries pertaining to Recruiting or business related policy and process application. Performs complex work assignments and problem resolution across the enterprise.

  • Manages complex recruiting initiatives and is a lead strategic partner to identified business lines in development of recruiting plans.
  • Identifies and builds community partnerships to generate candidates in alignment with organization’s hiring and program objectives.
  • Develops and implements creative sourcing strategies to proactively identify candidates and assemble pipeline of talent for open positions.
  • Forecast and manage talent pool size to fulfill workforce plans and hiring objectives.
  • Performs full life cycle recruiting utilizing various recruitment methods.
  • Consults to hiring managers and/or coworkers through the recruiting processes to ensure compliance within external and internal regulatory agencies.
  • Takes lead and facilitates cross-functional teams in the strategy development and implementation of business hiring solutions.
  • Coordinates with internal and external partners to establish community networks and relationships in support of our military, diversity and college hiring requirements with minimal guidance.
  • Serves as a resource to less experienced team members on escalations and policy guidance.
  • Acquires and applies intermediate knowledge of relevant human resources discipline(s), specifically employment law, policy and procedure.
  • Resolves issues and navigates obstacles to deliver work product.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required. 4 additional years of related experience beyond the minimum required may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
  • AND, 6 or more years of progressive work experience in staffing, general human resources, and/or account relationship management, to include knowledge of applicable employment laws.
  • AND, advanced knowledge and use of Microsoft Office products and other software to support sourcing tools and techniques.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10+ years experience in either full cycle corporate or agency recruitment with seasoned client interfacing and consultative skills.
  • 5 or more years experience recruiting for a large financial institution or a large bank.
  • 5 or more years experience with developing and executing creative/innovative sourcing plans using a variety of channels and technology.
  • Proven experience evaluating labor market analytics and employing recruitment marketing strategies within emerging talent audiences.
  • Demonstrated experience as a consultant to clients for complex, hard to fill niche positions.
  • Ability to quickly establish rapport, gain the confidence and influence outcomes for both hiring managers and candidates.
