Business Systems Analyst 3

This is a Contract position in Vancouver, WA posted June 4, 2020.

Title Business Systems Analyst 3 Duration One Year Contract (four additional years probable) Location Vancouver, WA NOTE s only being considered due to federal government requirement Summary You will do these and other task while working with the Work Planning and Delivery team
– Perform systems analysis to identify what application and infrastructure data is required to be collected for projects
– Conduct due diligence by reviewing and assessing all sources of current data housed in databases
– Conduct analysis to identify gaps in information
– Conduct analysis to identify where there is conflicting data for data points required,
– Identify what information is required to validate with the application and infrastructure teams
– Work with the PM and Tech Team to prioritize what is the most critical data to validate with the application and infrastructure teams
– Conduct validation meetings and workshops with application and infrastructure teams to either update information collected and validate accuracy or develop strategy to get data gaps filled
– Build out single data collection platform with validated accurate information and review with project technical leads, PM and stakeholders
– Develop roadmap and requirements to create mapping requirements for projects.

Responsibilities Supporting Requirements Development
– Conduct interviews and facilitate workshops to elicit application requirements.

– Research, analyze, model and organize information for developing requirements.

– Decompose high-level information into details and abstract up from low-level information to distinguish between solution ideas and application needs.

Solution Development and Proposal
– Facilitate design sessions, key decisions, team meetings, sponsor meetings, and stakeholder engagement sessions
– Facilitateassist in technical process improvement initiatives.

– Research and develop methods to automate repetitive manual data manipulations.

– Complete all documentation in support of the solution, including use cases, requirements, test plans, process maps, and desk procedures.

– Assist in the development of Business CasesJustifications for the identified improvement opportunities and present the proposed solutions in both verbal and written formats to key stakeholders and sponsors.

Solution Build
– Prepare functional and technical documentation for hand-off to IT workgroups.

– Work closely with IT development teams to encourage a smooth build.

– Draft documentation for user and operational manuals.

– Create queries and reports for extracting, manipulating, and reporting of business architecture-related information.

– Communicate key updates and documents to team members, sponsors, and stakeholders
– Support project manager in the maintenance of project information including scope, status, schedule, budget, forecast, risks and issues, resources
– Support project manager in the coordination of BPA teams contributing to the project Implementation and Change Management
– Support development and implementation of change management plans that reduce employee resistance and empower management as change sponsors.

– Facilitate various system verification activities such as systems and user testing.

– Facilitate system and data integration efforts to connect disparate systems that have various levels of System Life Cycle (SLC) maturity.

Solution Maintenance
– Provide first line technical support to business users of the developed solutions.

– Complete and improve user manuals, onboarding and training documentation.

– Analyze solutions and business practices for efficiency and effectiveness.

Based on the analyses, initiate continuous improvement initiatives.

Promote the adherence to SLC processes.

Education Corresponding Experience (required)
– A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Technical Management, Information Management, Engineering, Business Systems, Computer Science (or a directly-related technical discipline) is required.

– With an applicable Bachelor’s degree, 8 years of experience is required.

– Experience should be consistent with the specific requirements of business systems analysis and progressively more technical in nature.

Required Technical Skills Experience (required)
– Advanced knowledge of Visio andor other flowchart tools.

– Experience in application migrations, data migrations and application architecture.

– Expert proficiency in Excel.
– Experience in utilizing a requirements management tool.

– Knowledge and expertise in a broad spectrum of technologies including applications, servers, storage, backup systems, networking, and security.

– Basic understanding of multi-tiered business application and cloud-based application constructs.

Preferred Skills Experience (optional)
– Experience in organizational change management methods and tools.

– Experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
