Senior Software Quality Assurance/Automation Engineer (Remote)

Role Overview

Our Red Cloak Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) team is looking for a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with strong experience in test automation who is self-driven, motivated to learn new technologies, ready to solve challenging problems and passionate about security, automation and quality assurance.

Red Cloak EDR team develops threat monitoring sensors for Windows, Linux and macOS systems, so experience with Windows and *nix systems is a plus. Telemetry from endpoints is further analyzed by systems trained using the best machine learning algorithms, and we are able to detect and stop invasive breaches. Red Cloak platform is powered by world class Threat Intelligence, passionate engineers and counter-threat researchers.

You will:

  • Drive automation, integrate with CI/CD pipelines
  • Build test suites for sensor features, including both on-device testing and end-to-end validation
  • Evaluate products performance, robustness, resilience and security
  • Collaborate with developers/team and contribute to design and implementation of major development projects
  • Collaborate with other teams within engineering to integrate and automate cross-functional applications

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience developing, deploying and running test in Linux, Windows, and/or Mac
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with Robot Frameworks
  • Minimum of 3 years of scripting experience with Python, PowerShell, and/or Bash

Preferred Skills

  • Strong Networking knowledge
  • Experience in testing Cloud based applications using Amazon AWS or Google Cloud Platform
  • Experience working remotely as part of a decentralized Agile team
  • Experience with TFS or GIT and other development automated build and code repository frameworks
  • Understanding of security fundamentals and threat detection
