Software Development Engineer IIOverview:

– Hands-on developer who writes high quality, secure code for a small to mid-sized component or feature that is modular, functional and testable.
– Architect, develop, test and maintain big data pipelines and processing systems
– Contribute to all parts of the software’s development including design, development, documentation, and testing.
– Have strong ownership of your team’s software and are deep in the maintenance characteristics, runtime properties and dependencies including hardware, operating system, and build.
– Have the freedom to suggest and drive organization-wide initiatives
– Communicate, collaborate and work effectively in a global environment.
About You
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent work experience
• A blend of product, system and people knowledge that lets you jump into a fast paced environment and contribute from day one
• Experience with big data tools and databases (Apache Spark, Apache Hive, Presto, Snowflake, PostgreSQL)
• Experience with data pipeline and workflow management tools (Oozie, Airflow, etc)
• Strong programming skills in Java, Python.
• Extensive experience working with large codebases and cross-functional teams
• Experience with cloud native infrastructure (PCF, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, etc)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.
• Ability to balance a sense of urgency with shipping high quality and pragmatic solutions
• Experience in distributed systems and scale
• Experience with Unix/Linux and scripting
• Experience with AI/Machine Learning/Data Modeling
