Communications Writer (Contractor)

Job Description:

The Communications Writer is responsible for primarily internal communication initiatives with some external communication work included. The ideal candidate is a very strong writer with experience in internal communication deliverables including employee and leadership messaging, manager communication support materials, reference and resource materials, and intranet writing. This role requires regular interaction with cross-functional team members to understand and deliver on communication needs.

Position Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute multi-stage communication deliverables across a variety of channels and audiences.
• Develop business communication materials in support of company goals, priorities and initiatives, including key messages, talking points, meeting presentations and company announcements.
• Participate in cross-functional teams and initiatives leveraging communications expertise.
• Provide editorial support to the enterprise on various communication initiatives.

Position Qualifications:

• BA/BS degree in journalism, communications, PR or related field
• Minimum of four years of related corporate communications experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, execute tasks efficiently, and be flexible and adaptive to changing priorities.

• Quick learner and self-starter.
