Job Description Duties Summary This position is located in the Integrated Cropping Systems Research Unit, Brookings, SD. Participating in experiments or research projects related to insect ecology; performing a variety of complex technical duties in a field, greenhouse, or laboratory environment, as it relates to entomology. Responsibilities Collect, prepare, evaluate and verify insect samples and supporting records pertaining to insect populations, insect health, and toxicological responses. Ability to classify and identify insects. Assist with tabulating and summarizing data using personal computers and software packages. Perform routine and recurring techniques and studies using a variety of specialized lab and field equipment. Adapt, modify, or develop new techniques or procedures to satisfy the needs of an insect based research project. Travel Required Occasional travel You may be expected to travel for this position.
