Sr. Business Analyst / Product Owner

Info-Matrix Corporation is currently seeking a proven and experienced Sr. Business Analyst Product Owner to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the decisions regarding the priority, business value, and functionality of the work product and all the activities performed by our internal development team. The Product Owner possesses an in-depth knowledge of the customer goals and objectives to steer the product life cycle and define the roadmap. The Product Owner will have a strong customer focus and will lead all customer meetings including product requirement sessions, solution design sessions, release planning sessions, quality assurance and testing sessions, and training sessions. This person will own the product roadmap to ensure customer goals and functionality objectives are incorporated, the product enforces all regulatory compliance requirements, and modern technology is leveraged to simplify the customer experience. This person is a competent, take charge problem solver that will utilize their authority to prioritize work activities and effectively communicate with various stakeholders. Duties and responsibilities of this role are as follows Liaison Communication Represents, interfaces with and engages the customer at all levels (executive, management, users) including requirement, solution design, process engineering, testing, training, product demonstration and operational effectiveness sessions. Acts as a fully integrated team member with the customer and application team. Uses clear goals to communicate the product vision at the beginning of every release and sprint so that the team understands and is equipped to realize it. Makes business decisions with the team and clearly communicates requirements through epics and stories so they are understood. Communicates status outside the team. Development and Support Strong experience in business analysis, and solution development. Ability to think creatively, challenge the status quo, and lead business logic walkthroughs of truth tables and decision flows. Maintain a customer focused attitude to solution development with an emphasis on user experience. Business requirement elicitation skills and analysis, time management experience and the ability to manage concurrent tasks are essential. Good data analytical skills with the ability to understand data integration points and iterate with customers on data analytical and decision support models. Creates, maintains, prioritizes, and sequences the product backlog based on customer priorities, business value andor Return on Investment. Creates user stories and acceptance tests from themes and features granular enough for a single sprint. Prioritize and triage user stories to be scheduled into sprints based on business value. Participates in release planning, daily stand-up meetings (scrums), reviews, retrospectives, sprint and release planning, demos and other Scrum-related meetings. Reviews deliverable and demonstrable code after every sprint and has the authority to accept or reject. Develops and maintains standards for testing and progress visibility. Provides progress reporting. Assists as needed with backlog maintenance. Assists with prioritization and resolution of defects bugs. Management Hands on experience in product management and application solution development. Actively manage the product backlog, release planning and Operations readiness. Work with technical architects and SMEs to develop a solution and ensure that the solution meets the customerrsquos needs Manage and analyze business requirements with the authority to prioritize based on change and conflict risks Strong product and project management skills and technical knowledge of systems Collaborates with stakeholders on the evaluation of the feasibility, effort and costs to implement business requirements. Interacts with customer stakeholders and internal team peers to exchange information and serve as a liaison between engineering, quality assurance and non-technical stakeholders. Is visible, vocal, and objective and provides encouragement, recognition, and support to the team. Qualifications Formal Education Certification Four-year college degree in computer systems design or computer science or information systems, andor ten years equivalent work experience. Knowledge Experience Seven or more years of business analysis experience. Thorough understanding of agile software development methodologies, values, and procedures. Thorough understanding of the software development lifecycle. In-depth knowledge of testing practices and techniques. Ability to understand technical issues. Human Services andor Child Welfare experience (preferred) Prior consulting experience Personal Attributes Excellent, all-round communicator. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail. Proven leadership ability. Collaborative in driving decisions yet decisive. Self-motivated and capable of managing multiple priorities and tasks Team-player with the ability to work in a collaborative environment.
