Post-Acute Care Account Manager (Remote)

Current Need

McKesson Medical Surgical Post-Acute Care is currently hiring an Account Manager to support the Post-Acute Care territory in South Seattle, Eastern Washington and North Idaho. This is a remote based position and the ideal candidate will reside in South Seattle.

Position Description

Patients at long-term care, skilled-nursing, rehabilitation, sub-acute care, long-term acute care, home care and hospice facilities have different medical supply and equipment needs to recover or remain as healthy as possible. McKesson’s extensive portfolio of medical supplies and equipment offers your extended care site the industry’s largest array of products and services to effectively exceed your patients needs, both now and as their medical conditions change.

This individual will be responsible for selling disposable products and/or services to a group of clients and identify new and potential customers in order to reach profitability and sales goals within an assigned sales territory and/or account.  Activities include: consultative sales, negotiation, account maintenance, customer service, and post-sale support.  Individual must be able to multi-task and network effectively with many internal and external facilitators and partners.  They will be responsible for securing and maintaining distribution of products and/or services and maintaining effective agreements.  They will also partner with more tenured reps or management on more complex customers.

Minimum Qualifications

4 years of sales experience

Critical Skills

  • 2 years of outside sales experience with proven success and growth in market preferred
  • 1 year Post Acute Care experience preferred
  • Valid driver’s license with clear driving record
  • Proficient with MS Office, Salesforce.com or CRM
  • Must be flexible to travel up to 80% of time
  • Ability to maintain existing customer base
  • Demonstrated use of business reviews and consultative selling
  • Distribution experience preferred

Additional Knowledge and Skills

  • Professional communication skills, verbal and written
  • Strong attention to detail with demonstrated follow through
  • Proven ability to work independently and be self- motivated
  • Developing professional expertise, applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues
  • Sales internship/training completion a plus

Education

4-year degree in business or related field or equivalent experience

Must be authorized to work in the US. Sponsorship is not available for this position.
