Research Aide IV – Labor Dynamics Institute – Remote

The School of Industrial and Labor Relations at Cornell University has an immediate opening for a part-time Research Aide IV – LDI Replication Lab Supervisor position in the Labor Dynamics Institute in the Extension/Outreach Division.

This is a 30 hour per week term position, the purpose of this position is to support research functions of the Labor Dynamics Institute (LDI) in the ILR School Outreach Division. LDI’s mission is to create and make accessible novel data on the dynamics of the labor markets, working with research networks and statistical agencies, developing appropriate statistics to inform policy makers, researchers, and simply people seeking knowledge. This position reports to the LDI Executive Director. Initial appointment through December 31, 2020, position may be reappointed with approval based on available funding and work.

 

The LDI Replication Lab Supervisor will work with the Replication Data Editor for American Economic Association (AEA) journals to supervise student workers, work independently on replication projects, and serve as a team leader to a team of student replication researchers. Responsibilities include research, writing and analysis; independent academic replication; project planning and coordination.

The position demands the ability to manage multiple tasks and to prioritize work on projects working simultaneously, and the ability to work successfully under pressure with minimal supervision at a variety of tasks within a fast-paced, team-oriented, remote office setting.
